DINALUPIHAN, Bataan- A private cemetery here has launched the “Libing Now, Pay Later” plan aimed at lessening the financial worry of families in the interment of their departed loved ones.
Lai Escalona, general manager of Dinalupihan Memorial Park, said they launched the project in answer to the clamor of many families who expressed the wish to avail themselves of the services of a memorial park but are forced to make use of public cemeteries due to financial constraints.
“Marami na raw silang nagastos sa ospital at hindi na nila kaya ang serbisyong memorial park. To address this problem, we embarked on this scheme to lighten the financial burden of families while at the same time giving them the chance to experience the convenience in a memorial park,” Escalona said.
For an initial cash-out of P3,500, the park will take all the necessary preparations for the interment. The scheme is payable in 12 months at P3,500 a month.
Requirements needed are certification from barangay chairman that the families are bona fide residents of the village and proof of income that they can afford to pay P3,500 in monthly installments.
Escalona said that since they launched the scheme last November, more than 50 families have availed themselves of the services and are religiously fulfilling their obligation.
The Dinalupihan Memorial Park is located in Barangay J. C. Payumo with picturesque Mount Malasimbu in the background. It is wi-fi ready.
It also offers free bone transfer, zero downpayment for lots, five years to pay and installment of P17 per day. On its pre-selling stage, it gives 15% discount on lot purchase.
“For November 1, we want it to be unique and the first in Dinalupihan,” said Escalona. She said that there will be kite flying, dancing, entertainment, fireworks display and games for both children and adults.
