Security guard hunted for killing co-worker

    BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Police are on hot pursuit of a security guard who allegedly shot and killed a hotel room boy in Balanga City where they both reported for work Wednesday morning.

    Senior Supt. Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan police director, said police teams were dispatched in Bagac, Bataan and set up checkpoints in different points to hunt security guard Roberto Vidal who escaped after shooting hotel room boy Joselito Martin, 45, of barangay Malabia, Balanga City.

    Victim sustained three gunshot wounds near the heart from the guard’s caliber .38 service revolver with double action bullets. An attending physician declared Martin dead on arrival at the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga.

    Both worked for Elison Hotel that is located adjacent to the busy road in the commercial district of Balanga some meters away from the city plaza.

    Reports showed that the two had a heated agreement the day before allegedly due to still unknown old disagreement.

    Witnesses who refused to be identified said they saw suspect fired three times at the victim who was cleaning at the passageway near hotel rooms 2 and 3 a few minutes after 8:00 a.m.

    After the shooting suspect tucked his firearm and sped towards an unknown direction on board a motorcycle.

    “Brod kung sino ka man, panagutan mo ginawa mo sa kapatid ko. Maawa ka naman sa pamilya niya,” said younger brother Balanga City Marshall Jimmy Martin.
