MEXICO, Pampanga – Commitment to transparent governance, inclusive growth, and compassionate public service made manifest in accomplishments through his vision of “Ing Bayung Mexico Serbisyung Ating Pusu” highlighted the first 100 days in office of Mayor Ruding Gonzales.
From financial management to infrastructure, health, education, and social welfare, Gonzales’ first 100 days stand as a testament to a government that listens, acts, and truly serves its people.
Under his leadership, business tax collections reached P179.9 million, surpassing the P136.5 million target, while real property tax collections hit P35.8 million, exceeding the P25 million goal. The administration’s proactive approach, including stricter tax mapping of large warehouses and commercial establishments, ensured that every peso collected is reinvested into programs that benefit all Mexicanos
For the first time in Mexico’s history, the 20% Development Fund was distributed equitably across all 43 barangays. Projects such as road concreting, drainage canals, solar streetlights, and multipurpose buildings were implemented in various communities.
Major municipal projects are also underway, including the completion of the new public market, the construction of the municipal motorpool, the establishment of a municipal public cemetery in Barangay Tangle, and ongoing beautification of the town center.
The Mexico Community Hospital reported a total income of P117.3 million as of September 2025, far exceeding its P64 million annual target.
In his message to the people of Mexico, Gonzales enthused: “Ang bawat kanal na naayos, bawat kalsadang nakumpleto, bawat pasyenteng natulungan, at bawat estudyanteng nasuportahan nating makapag-aral – lahat ng ito ay bunga ng ating pagkakaisa. Hindi ko magagawa ang lahat ng ito kung wala ang inyong tiwala.”
Declared the mayor: “Ang Ing Bayung Mexico; Serbisyung Ating Pusu ay hindi lamang tungkol sa mga gusali o proyekto – ito ay tungkol sa mga puso at pangarap ng bawat Mexicano. Patuloy tayong magtataguyod ng pamahalaang bukas, malinis, at tapat – isang gobyernong nagbibigay pag-asa, hindi pangamba; isang gobyernong nagbibigay pagkakataon, hindi hadlang; isang gobyernong hindi lang nakaupo sa munisipyo, kundi nakikisalamuha sa mga tao.”
