High-value suspect yields P400-K shabu

SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija – A 44-year-old woman listed as a high value individual yielded P400,000-worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Mariano here early morning Wednesday, Oct. 8. 

Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office director Col. Heryl Bruno said the suspect, a resident of Barangay Pias, Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija, was collared after allegedly handing over to an undercover operative a sachet of shabu in exchange of a P1,000 buy-bust money.

Upon arrest, the anti-drugs operatives from the San Antonio Municipal Police Station reportedly found in the suspect’s possession a total of 55.75 grams of shabu estimated at P379,100.

They also recovered the marked buy-bust money, according to Bruno.

The suspect will be charged for violation of violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.)

“The HVI has been subjected to a weeklong series of surveillance operations, which eventually led to her arrest. We are conducting further and thorough investigations to identify and arrest other drug traders connected to her network,” Bruno said.

He added the operation was in line the directives of Police Regional Office 3 director BGen. Ponce Rogelio Pen̈ones to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs across region.
