CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 200 trainees graduated from the automotive servicing program of the provincial government on Sept. 29.
The six-month training conducted by the Pampanga Manpower Training Center in partnership with Foton Motors Philippines merited each graduate Automotive NC I and NC II certificates.
Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, together with the sangguniang panlalawigan led the distribution of cash incentives to the graduates to help them transition smoothly into the workforce.
One of the program’s success stories is Ronaile Sagum, 26, who has been employed for four months as an operations dealer at Foton Motors Philippines after completing the program.
“Sobrang thankful po ako sa PMTC, dito po sa programa nina Nanay at Vice Gov, marami po talaga silang natulungang mga tao. Sobrang sayo po kasi nung nagtratraining ako, pangarap ko po talagang makapasok sa Foton,” he said.
Of the 200 graduates, 70% are now employed. To ensure inclusivity, Governor Pineda emphasized that those who have yet to secure jobs will be profiled and integrated into the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Graduates also received national certification from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, further validating their skills and enhancing their employability.
