CLARK FREEPORT – The first public hospital in this freeport is set to become a liver and kidney transplant center not only for the region but even for the whole of Luzon.

On Sept. 25, Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda toured Dr. David K. Pillai, proprietor of Zenith International Pharmaceutical and chairman of Transworld Educare and Kings International Medical Academy, at the Pampanga Provincial Hospital-Clark for health care investment opportunities.

“It’s like a hotel. It’s amazing! I’ve seen all the big hospitals in the Philippines but not as good as this one. This reflects good leadership and the fantastic vision of the government for the people,” said the visibly impressed Indian businessman-philanthropist- educator.

Pillai has expressed his plans to build a transplant building and medical school within the provincial hospital compound to bring world-class healthcare services right here in Pampanga so patients need not go to India for major transplant operations.

A facility of this kind will give the Kapampangans access to affordable kidney and liver transplants, world-class healthcare, and training for local medical practitioners in specialized fields.

A partnership agreement between Pillai’s group and the Pampanga Provincial Government will cover the administration of the organ transplant facility. Pampanga PIO
