TARLAC CITY (PIA) — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its community office in Tarlac, continues to boost forest protection with sustained tree planting and nurturing activities at the Arboretum in San Clemente town.
Envisioned as a native forest tree park, the Arboretum aims to serve both ecological and community purposes.
DENR Camiling Community Office Head Amalia Fajardo said around 2,000 seedlings have been planted at the Arboretum so far.

The species include Banaba, Agoho, Balitbitan, Narra, Molave, Arangen, Bagras, Bani, Bignay, Binunga, Bugawak Morada, Calumpit, Catmon, Dangula, Igyo, Ipil, Kasoy, Lanete, Mabolo, Malac-malac, Samac, Supa, Tibeg, Toog, Yakal, and Palawan Cherry Blossom.
DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo highlighted that the initiative reflects the collaborative approach and long-term vision of the agency and its partners in safeguarding forestlands and preventing roadside encroachment.
