BALANGA CITY – The Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BACCI) in coordination with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), the provincial government and some government agencies on Monday scheduled a big march for November 6 to signal the coming to the province of “Go Negosyo.”
BACCI president Paulo Tibig said with the upcoming big event, Bataan will not only be known for the “Death March” during World War II but for a unique rally to be participated in by students, teachers, small and big businessmen, ordinary people, cooperatives and other sectors interested in entrepreneurship.
Aside from the expected huge rally of support for “Go Negosyo”, there will be seminars for the day to impart knowledge on how to go into business enterprise and how to be successful all geared towards employment generation, the chamber official said.
“Watch out, Go Negosyo goes to Bataan!,” Tibig said. Go Negosyo is the advocacy of PCE, a non-stock, non-profit organization that advocates for a change in mindset and attitude to address poverty in the country through entrepreneurship, he explained.
Ramon Lopez, PCE executive director, said their organization would already be happy to learn that even one percent of the total attendees to the march will go into business and turn out to be successful.
“Kaya dinadamihan namin na maraming maimbitihan at dumalo sapagka’t isang porsiyento lamang ang magbago ang buhay ay masaya na kami,” the PCE official said, adding, “Ang isang porsiyentong ito ang magiging malalaking negosyante sa hinaharap na magbibigay ng trabaho sa maraming tao.”
Lopez said their advocacy is to encourage everyone to take charge and make the most of their resources and abilities by utilizing and transforming these into viable enterprises that will redound to improved economy for the country.
