SAMAL, Bataan — The Bataan Police Provincial Office reported the arrest of a 22-year-old newly-listed street level individual and the confiscation of 19 grams of shabu with estimated value of P129,200 and a 9mm pistol in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibaba here Sunday.
Bataan police director Col. Marites Salvadora said operatives of the Samal Municipal Police Station in coordination with PDEA- Region 3 conducted the raid.
The suspect was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Seized from him a black belt bag containing a medium-sized sachet of suspected shabu, a 9mm Llama pistol and a magazine with three live ammunitions.
The suspect is now in police custody and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and RA 10591 (Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
“This arrest is in line with the directive of Gen. NIcolas D Torre III, chief PNP, to deliver swift and responsive public service. The continued success of these operations is made possible through the strong leadership and support of BGen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Police Regional Office 3 director, in strengthening the anti-crime efforts across the region,” Salvadora said.
