Mabalacat City, Pampanga – The SGV Foundation conducted its Brigada Eskwela Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity at the Marcos Village Elementary School, where SGV Partners made significant contributions to the school community.
The event commenced with welcome remarks from SGV Country Managing Partner Rossana A. Fajardo and Master Teacher I (MT I) Leslie Joy Andrade. Following their opening, the students showcased their talents with a special performance that delighted attendees.
Rossana Fajardo said “SGV believes in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities. By investing in their education and providing them with a conducive environment, we are not only helping them succeed academically but also empowering them to become the future leaders who will drive positive change in our country.”
In a gesture of support, the SGV Foundation presented a donation aimed at repairing the school’s covered stage, ensuring that the learners have a safe and functional space for their activities. Additionally, the SGV Partners distributed school supplies and snacks, generously donated by the Rebisco Group of Companies, to the learners.
Messages of appreciation were expressed by Rugene L. Tornato, EdD, Principal III, and Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Mabalacat City, Dr. Maria Carmen P. Cuenco, CESO V represented by the Partnership Focal Person, Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS) Mr. Allan Ornulfo D. Ocampo. Their heartfelt words underscored the importance of community support in enhancing the educational experience for the learners.
The SGV Partners then actively participated in the improvement of the school by repainting the walls and desks, further demonstrating their commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment.
In a forward-looking commitment, the SGV Foundation announced plans to donate an additional facility to the school, reinforcing their dedication to supporting education in the community.
