Farmer yields P3-million worth of marijuana plants

CABIAO, Nueva Ecija – A farmer allegedly yielded P3-million worth of marijuana plants was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Fernando Sur here shortly before 5pm Tuesday.
The 56-year-old farmer identified as Raymund, a resident of the said place, was included in the town’s list of high value individual (HVI), according to the police.

Police said operatives from the municipal police’s drug enforcement unit seized from the suspect 12 large pieces of marijuana plants weighing a total of 15,000 grams with estimated amount of P3,000,000.
The suspect and the pieces of evidence were brought to the station for proper disposition.
Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drigs Act were pressed against the suspect. –
