TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – Barangay Calipahan chairman Joel Damacio was killed while a bantay bayan identified only as “Bay” was wounded in a gun attach near a school in Purok 5 of his barangay June 9 morning. Monday morning.

Reports said the two have just emerged from a Brigada Escuela activity at around 8:40 a.m. when one of the two hooded men on board a motorcycle alighted and fired at them whit a still unidentified handgun.
Damacio was reportedly rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Bay, on the other hand, sustained bruises in his thigh and arm and is undergoing medical treatment, report.
A full-dressed investigation is being conducted by the police at presstime.
