BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office reported the arrest of a drug suspect and the confiscation of 15 grams of shabu with estimated street value of P102,000 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sabang in Morong town Wednesday.
Bataan police OIC director Col. Marites Salvadora said personnel of the Morong Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Bataan Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the operation that led to the arrest of the 53-year-old male suspect after he sold one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer. During a protective search, operatives recovered an additional sachet of shabu.
Salvadora said the operation was part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Morong MPS while charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), are being filed against him.
