Manila, Philippines – Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and industrial automation, celebrated its 30th year in the country with Innovation Day Philippines 2025 on May 20 at Shangri-La The Fort, Taguig. The event showcased how the company is helping accelerate the country’s net-zero goals across buildings, data centers, and utilities by merging energy management and automation through intelligent software, empowering industries with real-time insights and data-driven decisions for decarbonization.
As part of its vision for a sustainable future, Schneider Electric underscored the need for reliable, cybersecure supply chains. In the Philippines, 42% of businesses already prioritize supply chain sustainability—boosting competitiveness and opening doors to high-value manufacturing. This urgency grows with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digitalization. The company pointed out that AI alone could drive a 4.2x surge in data center energy use by 2028, with a single ChatGPT query consuming 10x more power than a Google search. With 96% of local businesses going digital, energy volatility poses a growing risk—making smart, efficient infrastructure more critical in the Philippines than ever.
