Bataan PNP participates in Protected Area Management Board meeting

BALANGA City, Bataan: The Bataan Police Provincial Office actively participated in the 2nd quarter meeting of the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) for the Bataan Natural Park held at the Plaza Hotel here Wednesday.

Bataan OIC police director Col. Marites Salvadora said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Region 3 headed the meeting attended by key stakeholders from various government agencies, local government units and non-government organizations.

Discussed were conservation efforts, sustainable management strategies and protection initiatives for the Bataan Natural Park, the woman police PD said.

“The Philippine National Police’s engagement in PAMB underscores the agency’s dedication to multi-sectoral partnerships in promoting peace and order and environmental stewardship across the province,” Salvadora said.

She said the meeting reviewed updates on existing environmental programs, enforcement challenges, and upcoming projects aimed at promoting eco-tourism and forest preservation.

The Bataan Natural Park, a significant part of the Bataan’s ecosystem, she said, is considered home to diverse flora and fauna and serves as a critical watershed for Central Luzon. (30)
