CABANATUAN CITY – Another car dealership establishment was strafed by unidentified suspects past midnight on Tuesday, a case that reportedly puzzled authorities.
Macario Rodolfa, caretaker of Fusion Motors located along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Concepcion here, told investigators he heard successive gunshots at around 1:00 a.m. outside the premises of their compound which allegedly hit vehicles parked inside their showroom.
The store is owned by Leonilo Garcia, 50, a resident of De Leon St., Poblacio, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.
Responding policemen, however, recovered no empty shells or slugs within the vicinity. The attackers flee immediately without saying any word, reports said.
Police said it was the second attack on a car dealer firm in this city. About two weeks ago, the Royce Motors owned by a renowned local businessman, was also hit by an explosion, damaging its glass wall.
Supt. Eli Depra, city police chief, said they are looking into all possible angles, including “tripping.” “Isa sa tinitingnan naming angle ay parang tripping and strafing incidents,” Depra said.
Police said follow up investigation is being conducted to establish the motive as well as the identity of the suspects.
