ABUCAY, Bataan: The Bataan Police Provincial Office announced the arrest of five drug peddlers and confiscated shabu with estimated drug price of P464,304 in buy-bust operations in Abucay and Orion towns Friday and Saturday.
Bataan OIC police director Col. Marites Salvadora said the Abucay police in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the operation in Barangay Capitangan that led to the arrest of the two known recidivist suspects and the seizure of 66.5 grams of shabu worth P452,200.
The suspects from Barangay Mabatang, Abucay are currently in police custody and will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
In Orion, three drug peddlers were caught in the act of selling 1.75 grams shabu with estimated drug price of P12,104 in Barangay Daan Pare Saturday.
Salvadora said operatives of the Orion police in coordination with the provincial police drug enforcement unit in continuing crackdown on illegal drugs conducted the raid.
The suspects face charges for violation of RA 9165 and are currently under the custody of Orion MPS.
“These operations are components of our intensified anti-drug campaign, with focus on arresting recidivists who continue to threaten the peace and safety of our communities. We stand firm in our commitment to protect the security and welfare of every resident in Bataan,” Salvadora said.
“The Bataan PPO reiterates its call for community cooperation in reporting drug-related activities and affirms our dedication to achieve a drug-free Bataan,” she added.
