CABANATUAN CITY — Police have beefed up security forces in Nueva Ecija’s 4th congressional district as voting date for the 2025 national and local elections draws near, police said Monday.
Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office director Col. Ferdinand Germino did not disclose the troop’s size but said they deployed additional personnel as a quick reaction team (QRT).
The 4th district comprises the city of Gapan and municipalities of Cabiao, San Antonio, Jaen, San Leonardo, Pen̈aranda, and Gen. Tinio.
Germino said the troops came from several units, including the 21st Special Action Company, 1st Provincial Mobile Field Company, and 304th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3.
A ceremonial send-off ceremony was conducted at Jaen PS, emphasizing the importance of this deployment.
“This initiative aims to enhance the law enforcement capabilities of cities and municipalities in District 4 and strengthen their capacity to respond to emerging security concerns, as we gear up for the 2025 elections,” Germimo said. Contributed photo
