LUNGSOD NG CABANATUAN – Umaabot sa P374,000 na halaga ng hinihinalang shabu, isang baril at mga bala ang nasamsam mula sa umano’y tulak ng droga sa Barangay Bangad dito bandang 12:05 ng umaga nitong Apr. 14.
Ayon kay Nueva Ecija police director Col. Ferdinand D. Germino, ang suspek ay isang 44-anyos na lalaki na residente ng lungsod.
Kaagad na dinakip ang suspek matapos matagumpay na nakabili ng isang sachet ng shabu na tumitimbang ng 0.40 gram mula sa kanya ang isang operatiba na nagpanggap ng buyer, ayon sa pulisya.
“Upon his arrest, authorities recovered an additional four heat-sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing shabu weighing approximately 54.60 grams, along with a homemade .38 revolver and three live rounds of ammunition,” saad ng pulisya.
Ang buy-bust operation ay isinagawa ng mga operatiba ng Cabanatuan City Police Station na pinamumunuan ni Lt. Col. Renato C. Morales.
“The suspect and all recovered evidence were properly marked and inventoried before being brought to Cabanatuan City Police Station for proper documentation and disposition,” ayon sa pulisya.
Mga kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) ang hinaharap ng suspek.
“We are grateful that this significant quantity of illegal drugs was intercepted before it could reach our neighborhoods and ruin lives. We will continue to intensify our operations against illegal drugs to safeguard the people of Nueva Ecija,” pahayag ni Germino.
Aniya, alinsunod pa rin ito sa direktiba ni Police Regional Office 3 director BGen. Jean Fajardo na pag-ibayuhin ang pagtugis sa iligal na droga sa lalawigan.
