NE police maintains nonpartisanship in May polls

CABANATUAN CITY — The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of Col. Ferdinand D. Germino, on Wednesday reaffirmed its commitment to “upholding non-partisanship and political neutrality” in the May elections.

“We believe our service is designed to protect and serve all citizens, regardless of their political beliefs or affiliations. Instead of dividing, we demonstrated our commitment to unity by bringing together candidates, supporters, and voters through our recently conducted Unity Walk, Inter-Faith Rally, and Peace Covenant Signing,” Germino said in a statement.

A full-blooded Novo Ecijano, Germino said they will remain steadfast with NEPPO’s commitment that strictly follows its mandate and the guidelines set by the Commission on Elections, “ensuring our actions remain unbiased while promoting peace, order, and efficient public service for every Novo Ecijanos.” 

“In our commitment to fairness for the national and local elections, our supportive stakeholders—including the AFP, Comelec, DepEd, BFP, Namfrel (National Movement for Free Elections), various religious and media groups—continue to uphold their dedication to ensuring a transparent election process,” he province’s top cop said.

Germino noted that “As the national and local elections approach, NEPPO remains vigilant and ready to respond to any eventualities that may occur. We are fully committed to ensuring our communities remain safe and peaceful throughout the election period.”

“With the steadfast support of our partners and community leaders, we unite in protecting the people’s voice and upholding the true values of democracy and public service,” he said.
