CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Provincial Government of Pampanga has officially opened and commenced operations today at the newly constructed Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center in Guagua, located within the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH). The facility began full operations with 43 dialysis machines and was able to serve ten patients on its first day.
The center is operated through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the Provincial Government and B. Braun Philippines, aiming to provide dialysis treatment to residents of the province’s second district.

Before the facility’s opening, Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, accompanied by Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Health Office Officer-in-Charge Dr. Dax Tidula, and DPMMH Chief of Hospital Dr. Fleur Zapanta, conducted an inspection of the center. The governor also met with the first batch of patients during an orientation session held on January 28, 2025.
The project received funding from national agencies: the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) allocated PHP 52.9 million for the dialysis machines and Water Reverse Osmosis System, while the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) provided PHP 29.3 million for the construction of the building.
According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO), dialysis patients can avail of up to 156 sessions annually with PhilHealth coverage. Additional support will be provided for patients requiring arteriovenous fistula procedures and maintenance medications.
The Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center is part of the province’s broader health initiative, which includes plans to establish similar centers in the City of San Fernando, Apalit, and other locations.
As per PHO records, the Provincial Government of Pampanga currently supports 3,494 dialysis patients.
