SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija — A businessman couple and their 10-year-old child were killed in a gun attack by four suspects inside a store in Purok 5, Barangay Mallorca here at about 1 p.m., March 26.
Police identified the victims as Aurora, 52; husband Don Rey, 55; and their son Demarcus Ezra, all surnamed Geronimo.
Investigation showed the suspects were on board two motorcycles.
In a report to the provincial police headquarters, the town police said all the victims were inside their store when the suspects who allegedly pretended to be customers barged in and “consecutively shot” all of them.
“All the victims sustained gunshot wounds to their heads, causing their instant deaths,” police reported.
Forensic investigators recovered from the crime scene six fired cartridges of .45 pistol, it added.
One of the suspects was reported to have been arrested in a follow operation in the nearby town of Penaranda as police waged a dragnet operation called Oplan Bakod on the same day.
Investigation is still on going.
