ANGELES CITY — Two primary care facilities in Barangays Pulung Maragul and Malabanias were inaugurated by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. on March 11, as part of the city government’s efforts in ensuring quality health care services for all Angeleños.

The construction of the primary health care units will provide the city with the ideal number of primary care facilities for its population.

“With a population of 450,000, Angeles City must have 15 primary health care units,” Lazatin said.

The city government allotted P55 million for the construction of additional nine primary care facilities in the city.

Inside the newly-opened primary care facilities are dental rooms with dental chair and equipment, consultation rooms, laboratory rooms, physician’s rooms, pantries, storage rooms, and pharmacies with readily available medicines.

Lazatin is also set to inaugurate two more primary health care units in Barangays Tabun and Cutud on March 12.

Meanwhile, five additional primary health care units in Barangays Pulungbulu, Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, and Balibago are also set to be opened this year, which will complete the facilities to 15.

When Lazatin assumed office in 2019, the city government only had six primary health care facilities in Barangays Pandan, Sto. Domingo, Lourdes Northwest, Lourdes Sur East, Balibago, and Pulung Cacutud.

The city government also hired additional doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and dental aides to make the health services offered to Angeleños more efficient.

Joining the mayor in inaugurating the facilities was Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin Jr. Angeles CIO
