ANGAT, Bulacan (PIA) — Residents of Barangay San Roque in Angat, Bulacan, are now benefiting from a new multipurpose covered court that serves as a hub for sports, community gatherings, and disaster preparedness.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the 540-square-meter facility through a P9.9-million project, providing a safe and accessible space for various activities, including physical fitness programs, local events, emergency response efforts, and educational initiatives.

DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineer George Santos said the structure features five bays, 12 concrete pedestals, and six complete steel trusses with arch-type roofing, ensuring the building’s safety, stability, and sustainability.
“This facility will not only promote sports and recreation but also enhance public welfare by accommodating social gatherings and disaster response operations,” he added.
The agency continues to implement similar infrastructure projects across Bulacan, reinforcing its commitment to building resilient and community-centered public spaces. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bulacan)
