CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A gun and ammunitions along with P340,000-worth of shabu were confiscated by elements of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office in the course of serving a search warrant on a high value individual in Barangay Laoang, Tarlac City on Feb. 24.
Armed with Search Warrant No. 2025-005, issued by Executive Judge Edwin S. Bonifacio of RTC Branch 111, Tarlac City, law enforcers proceeded to the residence of alias “Rudy,” 38, of the named barangay.
During the search, the police discovered a .45 pistol loaded with live ammunition, an additional magazine containing four rounds, and a Magnum .357 bullet. Further inspection led to the seizure of a medium plastic sachet and eight small heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 50 grams and valued at P340,000, along with various drug paraphernalia.
The entire operation was conducted with barangay officials present to ensure transparency. Representatives from the Department of Justice, media, barangay officials, and the suspect himself witnessed the inventory of the confiscated items.
The suspect and the recovered evidence were brought to the TPPO provincial intelligence unit for proper documentation, with charges for violations of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Section 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) now being prepared.

Our intensified intelligence-driven efforts demonstrate our firm resolve in upholding the law and protecting our communities from criminal elements,” said Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, as she commended the TPPO provincial intelligence and drug enforcement units, the provincial intelligence team, 1st provincial mobile force company, Tarlac City Police Station, CIDG-Tarlac, and the PRO-3 regional intelligence division 3/intelligence operation section for undertaking the successful operation.
