BALER, Aurora (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed new school buildings and rehabilitated an existing covered court at Baler Central School (BCS) in the province of Aurora.

The project enhances the school’s infrastructure to better serve its students and teachers.

DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the agency allocated a total of P49 million for the construction of a two-story, eight-classroom building, a one-story, three-classroom building, and the retrofitting of the school’s covered court, which has been upgraded to meet modern standards.

“The new facilities now provide students and teachers at BCS with improved learning spaces that support both educational and recreational activities,” Andal said.

He added that the project also includes several new amenities, such as a 150-square-meter function hall, a viewing stand with a stage, a public toilet, a 250-meter drainage canal, a water system, a new flagpole, a parking area, and a playground, all aimed at enhancing the school’s facilities and benefiting the local community.

With these new structures, the school is now better equipped to support the educational needs of both students and teachers, creating an environment that enhances learning and school engagement. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
