PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan – The Philippine Air Force’s Tactical Operations Wing West (TOW West) welcomed its new deputy wing commander, Col. Augusto N. Padua PAF (NSA), in an assumption of command ceremony at Antonio Bautista Air Base here on Jan. 17.
Presiding over the event was Brig. Gen. Erick Q. Escarcha PAF, TOW West wing commander, who expressed confidence in Padua’s leadership and extensive experience.
“Dedication to duty must go beyond doing our best. We must fulfill what is required with excellence,” said Escarcha, highlighting the critical role of air sentinels in safeguarding national security, especially in the West Philippine Sea.
Before this assignment, Padua served as deputy assistant chief of Air Staff for Education and Training (Deputy A-8), where he enhanced PAF education and training programs.
Dubbed as the home of the “Air Sentinels of the Western Frontier,” TOW West remains committed to its mission of planning, directing, and coordinating air power to support Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) operations within its jurisdiction. Punto News Team/TOW West FB post
