SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Best Western Hotels & Resorts has unveiled a new midscale hotel in the country, during its soft opening in this Freeport Zone, Friday evening.

Located at Subic Bay, on the western coast of Luzon Island and approximately 100 km north of Manila, the new Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is the first midscale hotel in the area affiliated with an international brand.

Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is the seventh Best Western in the Philippines, joining existing properties in Manila, Makati City, Cebu City and the resort-island of Boracay and is also the country’s third upscale Best Western Plus Hotel following the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati City and Best Western Plus Lex Cebu.

Set in a brand new building that exudes contemporary style, Best Western Plus Hotel Subic offers 77 midscale rooms, all featuring flatscreen TVs, mini-bars, and complimentary Wi- Fi. The hotel also features a range of facilities for both business and leisure travelers.

“The Philippines is an incredibly important market for Best Western, and I am delighted to be able to welcome guests to our first ever hotel in Subic Bay – another exciting destination for our company,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotel and Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations-Asia.

The hotel is strategically located near the city, shopping malls, and corporate offices of business locators in the Freeport Zone, creating a suitable venue for businessmen to holdconferences and othercorporate events.

“The Subic Bay Freeport Zone is a vitally important industrial area for the Philippines, and the broader Asia Pacific region. And the area’s impressive beaches and marine attractions are making Subic Bay an increasingly popular tourism destination. I am confident that Best Western Plus Hotel Subic will become a key addition to the area’s travel and hospitality landscape,” Berrivin added.

Aside from its clear blue waters perfect for a relaxing getaway, Subic is also home to famous theme parks for the family, as well as several adventure spots for thrill-seekers. These beaches and attractions are only within walking distance or a few kilometers away from the hotel, making it convenient for guests to explore the attractions in the area, said Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer Moshe Gordon.

“Our global brand is known for cutting-edge facilities, expert management and first-fate maintenance, and we made sure to fit all of those with the unique flavor of Filipino hospitality and culture,” Gordon explained. He detailed how Best Western Plus Subic delivers premium service without the premium price tag.

Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is a part of the Philippines-based Savers Group of Companies, which also owns Fortune HK Seafood Restaurant Chain, and Cable TV Operations ACCTN.
