GAPAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Police arrested an alleged high value individual and seized over P360,000-worth of illegal drugs in an intelligence-driven operation in Barangay Malimba here before noon Dec. 3.
Col. Ferdinand Germino, Nueva Ecija police director, said anti-drugs operatives of the Gapan police station collared an alias “Nani” who was listed as HVI and his two alleged cohorts in a buy-bust operation at around 11:15 am.
Confiscated from the suspects were 53 grams of metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu. Based on Dangerous Drugs Board’s (DDB’s) list, the haul is worth P360,400, police said.
Germino said the suspects are now under the custody of Gapan City Police Station, facing charges for alleged violation of RA 9165(Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Germino commended the operatives “for their unwavering commitment” and reiterated NEPPO’s dedication to combating illegal drugs.
“This operation highlights our continuous drive to eradicate illegal drugs and safeguard the lives of our fellow Nueva Ecijanos. We remain steadfast in our mission to disrupt drug networks and bring perpetrators to justice,” he said.
