Mariveles, Bataan: The municipal government here conducted a six-day Austere Environment Rescue Training at the Romalaines Seafoods Restaurant and Leisure Park in this town.
Participants were members of the town’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Public Safety Office, municipal rescue medics and rescuers from Barangay Alas-asin.
Well-known rescuer Dr. Ted Esguerra led the training aimed at preparing the participants face difficult situations with limited resources.
“Ang pagsasanay ay nagbibigay-diin sa mga kinakailangang kasanayan at kaalaman para sa matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng rescue operations sa ilalim ng mga austere o matinding kondisyon. Isang hakbang na naman ito patungo sa mas ligtas at mas handang Mariveles para sa lahat,” organizers said.
The activities started in a three-day online session from November 20 – 22 followed by face-to-face training from November 24 – 26.
