Sto. Tomas, Pampanga – The Provincial Government of Pampanga has officially kicked off the holiday season early with the simultaneous distribution of 21,264 food packs to indigent families from various municipalities on Friday, November 22.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Chief and Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco delivered a message on behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.
“These food items may seem simple, but we hope they will bring joy and warmth to your homes this Christmas season,” said Blanco.
Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members also participated in the distributions held in their respective districts. These included Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Claire Lim, Lucky Labung, Pol Balingit, and Nelson Calara.
The activity, which is held annually, aims to alleviate the financial burden on families during the holiday season. Through the concerted efforts of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), PDRRMO, and General Services Office (GSO), beneficiaries from Porac, Sta. Ana, and this town received chicken and hotdogs from the provincial government.

Ing manuk ayni, pirituan ke. Ala ku pung asabi, anya hanggang-hangga, i Gov ing buri mi, ilang miinda,” said Nida Bayani, a beneficiary from Brgy. San Bartolome.
Sto. Tomas Mayor Johnny Sambo and Vice Mayor Matias Pineda also graced the distribution.
“We’re very happy and honored, malaki ang pasasalamat po namin kina Governor Dennis Pineda at Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, dahil hindi po nila kinalilimutan ang aming bayang Sto. Tomas. Naging maaga po ang pasko sa aming bayan,” said Mayor Sambo.
Individuals with cancer and mental health conditions from the second district also received cash and food packs in a simple ceremony at the Lubao Gym. The Provincial Health Office facilitated the distribution.
