Clark, Pampanga – October 19, 2024 – The Marriott Worldwide Business Council (MWBC) Philippines and the Marriott Next Gen Business Council Philippines celebrated a decade of impactful service with the Road to Give 2024: Kolor Run, held on October 19 at the Clark Parade Grounds. The milestone event brought together communities and Marriott properties across the Philippines, all for a meaningful cause.
Dottie Wurgler-Cronin, Chair of the Marriott Worldwide Business Council Philippines and General Manager of Sheraton Cebu Mactan, expressed her appreciation for the support that drives the purpose-driven vision of both the MWBC and the Marriott NextGen Business Councils in their commitment to community service and development.
She said, “This year’s Road to Give is especially meaningful as we celebrate 10 years of making a difference. With over 1,300 runners and the support of our generous sponsors, this event truly highlights our spirit of service.” Wurgler further emphasized that the charity run is one of the many initiatives that extends the Marriott signature brand of hospitality beyond its hotels and into the communities.
Jenny Imbag Rivera, Chair of the Marriott Next Gen Business Council Philippines and Director of Sales at Clark Marriott Hotel, highlighted the event’s significance. “Road to Give 2024: Kolor Run is not only a celebration of health and fitness but also a powerful way to give back to the community. It is an excellent opportunity for Marriott properties and the local community to come together to advance children’s welfare and to support our associates during their times of need.”
Proceeds from the charity run will directly benefit Save the Children Philippines and the Marriott Philippines Associates Welfare and Recovery Fund (MPAWER), helping empower Filipino children to thrive, survive, and be protected, while also providing essential support to Marriott associates during challenging times. Beyond crossing finish lines, Road to Give 2024: Kolor Run underscores Marriott’s commitment to the continuity of its purpose-driven initiatives in the years to come.
