BALANGA City: A 10 – year old student from a public elementary school in Samal, Bataan was scheduled to represent SM City Bataan in the national-level of the grand final of the SM Super Spelling Bee this October.
It will be held at the SM Mall of Asia this October where the contestant could win over P50,000 in grand prizes.
This, after Shaun Miles Guinto, Grade 5 pupil from the Samal North Elementary School, won in the Super Spelling Bee contest of SM City Bataan.
He got the top award after correctly spelling the word “rendezvous” in the final round of the competition.
Shaun said he felt proud but nervous for winning the contest that he joined for the first time. He shared his award to his proud parents.
For his feat, he received P10,000 worth of gift certificates from SM; P10,000 worth of gift certificates from National Bookstore and P3,000 worth of gift certificates from Jollibee.
