CLARK FREEPORT— Motorsports fans, rejoice! The Philippines’ first motor racing museum has started construction in this freeport.

A project of Kilton Motor Corp. (KMC) and Bermaz Auto Philippines Inc. (Mazda Phil.), the Clark Tony’s Motorsport Museum (CTMM) will span 8,000 square meters over three floors, adjacent to the Clark International Speedway on Prince Balagtas Ave. in the northern part of the freeport.

“The museum will give the area vibrancy and help steer youth away from vices. KMC’s focus on safety and training is setting important new standards,” enthused Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera at the recent groundbreaking, citing the success of last year’s Clark International Festival of Speed (CIFOS) as proof positive of the project’s impact.

Officials from CDC and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. attended the ceremony.

The CTMM will feature racing bikes and motorcycles, Formula 1 cars, racing cars, and go-karts. Its facilities will include a 1,200-square-meter conference hall for exhibitions, product launches, and private events, complete with a stage and dressing rooms.

For his part, Johnny Tan, president of KMC, highlighted the potential of this additional museum to position Clark as the “Museum Capital of the Philippines.”

“If we have four or five museums here in Clark, school tours will benefit from visiting multiple museums in a single day. This initiative, which is a good plan by Ma’am Agnes [Devanadera], will hopefully boost tourism in Clark and Central Luzon and contribute to increasing foot traffic, which will make this a comfortable place for all,” Tan said.

The CTMM will complement existing attractions like the Clark Museum and the upcoming National Museum of the Philippines—Clark, further establishing this Freeport as a premier destination for business and tourism. CDC-PR
