TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Over 700 individuals participated in the 2nd Tarlac Business Conference and Expo (BizConEx).
The two-day event, held at the Bulwagang Kanlahi, aims to strengthen, promote and support local businesses through a trade exhibit of food and non-food products, mentorship sessions, innovation, and networking activities.
Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Tarlac President Aileen Chan said BizConEx provides a platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to sell, learn and link with potential customers and business partners.
“This is where we make our MSMEs visible and give them various opportunities. We want our businesses to connect because a business is nothing without connections,” she added.
Chan emphasized that connections and referrals are crucial in navigating the competitive market.
“We hope that these connections will pave the way for everyone here to make something and try something new. A brand new connection has the potential to create new products, and link with new clients and partners in respective industries,” she said.
Chan also encouraged local entrepreneurs to take advantage of the government programs in boosting their business, and spurring economic activity in the province.
Dina Cruz, one of the exhibitors, thanked PCCI Tarlac and the Tarlac MSME Development Council for the market exposure and potential connections through the business conference.
“Since we are meeting different types of business people here, we have the chance to connect to different suppliers. Maybe in the future, we can have a big partnership with clients,” she said.
Cruz added that it also allows consumers to see what local entrepreneurs can offer.
