CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — A total of seven Nueva Ecija women entrepreneurs graduated from the 2024 Central Luzon Kapatid Mentor Me – Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
In partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo, this program aims to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing mentorship and online sessions to continuously update them on innovative information, skills, and knowledge needed to upgrade, upskill, and upsize their enterprises.
DTI Provincial Director Richard Simangan shared that participants from Nueva Ecija have consistently performed well, making it to the honor roll since 2020.
He noted that this is also because the agency provides extra supervision and support to their mentees, including assistance in creating business improvement plans.
In total, 48 women entrepreneurs from the provinces of Central Luzon completed Batch 1 of the online program.
Four of the graduates from Nueva Ecija ranked in the Top 10 of their batch.
They include Lovely Aiko Salvador of Blake and Bjorn Skin Care Products Trading in 2nd place, Krystel Nicole Requina of Ystel Handicrafts in 3rd place, Hannah NiƱa Vera Cruz of Vera Bella Enterprises Limited Co. in 5th place, and Dulce Rosales of EDJE Food Products Manufacturing in 10th place.
Simangan emphasized that the program has significantly impacted the participants, leading to substantial improvements from their humble beginnings.
As such, he assured that the agency will continuously support the mentees.
