7 Tarlac women entrepreneurs complete DTI mentorship program

TARLAC CITY (PIA) — A total of seven Tarlac women entrepreneurs graduated in the 2024 Central Luzon Kapatid Mentor Me – Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The 10-module mentorship initiative, in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo, aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of participants through weekly interactions with experienced mentors.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the completion ceremony is not only a celebration of the mentees’ accomplishments but also a testament to the program’s ongoing relevance and impact.

“By providing women entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge to succeed, the mentorship program remains a vital force in promoting economic resilience and growth in the province,” she pressed.

Three of the graduates from Tarlac landed in the Top 10 of their batch.

They include Nicolle Anne Komori of NTPK Pharmacy in 6th place, Carla Santiago of K Three Convenience Store in 7th place, and Gladys Bautista of HACS.PH Online Shop in 10th place.

In an interview, Komori expressed her gratitude to the agency for the lessons they acquired.

“Thank you very much, DTI and our mentors from the KMME program. We have learned so much from you. We will use all the learnings to further our businesses and to have a greater sense of purpose,” Komori said.

A total of 48 women entrepreneurs from various provinces in the region completed the online Batch 1.

Established in 2016, KMME-MME focuses on three main pillars namely Mentorship, Money, and Market.
