TARLAC CITY (PIA) — A total of 79 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Paniqui, Tarlac completed the Entrepreneurship Mind-setting Seminar of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Two runs of the seminar were organized by the town’s Negosyo Center, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, to unlock the potential of participants in starting, developing and growing their future businesses.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo emphasized the outcome of the collaboration of their agency with the municipal government to upskill their residents.
“With the strong partnership with the municipal government of Paniqui, we could easily reach out, deliver services, and encourage entrepreneurship,” Balilo stressed.
Business Counselor Ranjee Mañalac discussed the importance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the economy, the basics of entrepreneurship, and the characteristics of an entrepreneur.
Armando De Jesus, one of the 4Ps beneficiaries, cited that the seminar is essential in cultivating their sustainable livelihood skills.
“Indeed, the seminar helped us in preparing ourselves before starting our own business,” he said.
DTI looks forward to inspiring the beneficiaries to apply what they have learned from the seminar, and to become economically empowered MSMEs. (CLJD/TJBM, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
