CLARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – Residents of Central Luzon wishing to see Batanes need not bear the brunt of horrendous traffic to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines is set to resume flights between Clark and Basco, Batanes beginning July 2, even as it seeks to reopen more routes from this airport this year.

In an advisory on Monday, PAL announced said the Clark-Basco route will operate via PR 2688 every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday – departing CRK at 11 a.m. and arriving in Basco at 12:35 p.m.

Return flights will be on the same days under PR2689, leaving Basco at 1 p.m. and arriving in CRK at 2:35 p.m.  An 86-seater turboprop De Havilland Dash 8-400 next generation will serve the route.

“We are delighted to revive our Clark-Basco service commencing on the third quarter of 2024. Convenient connectivity is essential for travelers who wish to experience our island-destinations. We will endeavor to reopen more routes out of Clark as we continue to grow our network from Central Luzon,” said PAL president and COO Capt. Stanley Ng.

“We appreciate the support of Clark LIPAD (Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp.) as we expand our Clark operations,” he added. LIPAD is the operator of the CRK.

Currently, PAL flies out of CRK daily to Cebu, thrice weekly to Caticlan (Boracay), and four times weekly to Busuanga (Coron).
