CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Pledging devoted service to the Kapampangan, the officers of the Liga Ng Mga Barangay-Pampanga Chapter took their oath of office before Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda at the Capitol on Jan. 12.
Atty. Claire Lim, chair of Barangay Siran in Guagua town, as president of LNB-Pampanga serves as ex-officio board member of the sangguniang panlalawigan.
The other officers are Dr. Benjamin Angeles (City of San Fernando) vice president; Karen Pineda (Sto. Tomas) auditor, and the board of directors: June Marimla (Magalang), Allan Soliman (Bacolor), Josefina Leoncio (Sasmuan), Joel Capil (Porac), Joselito Ibe (Apalit), Juanito Carlos (San Luis), Flordeliza Gozun (Floridablanca), and Rey Pineda (Mabalacat City).
The governor urged the LNB officers to continue strengthening the relationship between the barangay and the provincial government of Pampanga.
“We will be here to help you, especially with your own projects,” he assured them.
Pineda also reminded the village chiefs to constantly coordinate with their respective mayors and cooperate in providing the needed services and programs.
Meanwhile, outgoing ex-officio board member Gabby Mutuc congratulated Lim, who will formally start her stint in the SP on Jan. 29.
Expressing their support for the provincial LNB, board members Fritzie David-Dizon, Philippine Councilors League-Pampanga president Cherry Manalo, and special assistant to the governor and PDRRM chief Angelina Blanco graced the elections. The LNB facilitated the election properly, as witnessed by DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myra Soriano.
