IBA, Zambales – A total of 981 individuals were apprehended for violation of health protocols by the joint Task Force Semana Santa 2021 of the police in coordination with LGUs and barangay officials.
Reports from the office of Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said that the health protocols violators were arrested during the Holy Week just passed.
Of the total number of violators who came from various Zambales municipalities, 900 were made to render community service, 77 were penalized with fines, and three received stern warning.
Cardiño said that police will strictly enforce curfew hours, minimum health standard protocols and stricter border control checkpoints to reduce and prevent further spread of Covid-19 in the province.
