ANGELES CITY — Some 92 medical frontliners here have received their booster shots against Covid-19 today, Nov. 25 at the vaccination site in the City College of Angeles.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said the 92 frontliners are fully vaccinated doctors, nurses, and medical technologists from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), formerly known as Ospital Ning Angeles.

“Nagsimula na po tayo ngayong araw sa pagbabakuna ng booster shot para sa ating magigiting na medical practitioners,” Lazatin said.

“Napakaimportante po ng araw na ito para sa atin dahil tuloy-tuloy pong proteksyon ang sinusulong natin laban sa virus,” Lazatin added.

The doctors, nurses, and medical technologists who received booster shots today are those who got their vaccines from the city’s vaccination centers last March and April.

Mayor Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, shared that the giving of booster shots for the fully vaccinated healthcare workers will be done by schedule.

The staff of the Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles is assigned to call the recipients for their designated booster shots schedule, Calaguas says.

Calaguas said the recipients should also present their issued vaccination cards.

According to Dr. Verona Guevarra, City Health Officer the vaccine supplies are sufficient for their booster shots.
