CABANATUAN CITY – At least six people, including this city’s 8th most wanted person, were arrested while some P94,700 worth of shabu were seized in a series of anti-crime operations in Nueva Ecija on Monday.
Nueva Ecija police director Col. Marvin Joe Saro said two of the suspects were collared in a buy-bust operation hatched by the San Isidro Police Station. They were Hector Abad, 43, and Darwin Manalastas, 28, both of Barangay San Fernando Sur, Cabiao town.
Operatives recovered from the duo 10 sachets of shabu with estimated street value of P5,000.
In Quezon town, a joint operation by the Quezon police station, provincial intelligence, regional field mobile battalion and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency bagged a certain Jon Jon Botardo, 49, resident of Barangay San Miguel, who reportedly yielded eight sachets of shabu weighing 12.8 grams worth some P87,000.
Anti-drugs teams from Gen. Tinio and Cabanatuan City police stations arrested Eljericho Abanilla, 36, a vendor from Barangay Sto. Tomas, Peñaranda and Resty Gimeno, 22, of Barangay Daan Sarile who were caught red handed with a total of P2,700 worth of shabu, according to reports.
Bryan Gabriel, 30, who was listed No. 8 here was arrested in a manhunt operation in Barangay Kapitan Pepe, police said.
Gabriel, a resident of Barangay Maypyap this city, has pending arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
