CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 861 amputees received financial aid from the Pampanga Provincial Government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development on May 10.
Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, executive assistant Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, and officials from DSWD Region 3, personally reached out to each amputee in ceremonies held at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center here.
The governor assured the beneficiaries that the provincial the government will continue serving them in whatever needs they have. “Tandanan yu pu atsu ya pu ing Kapitolyu, ikami di Nanay at reng board members yu para kekayu nanu man pu ing kailangan yu.”
As part of the assistance provided, each beneficiary received a cash grant of P3,000 from DSWD.
Additionally, the provincial government conducted free medical check-ups and distributed medicines, food packs, and an additional P2,000 cash aid to further support the amputees.
Also present during the event were board members Fritzie David Dizon, Pampanga Councilors League president Cherry Manalo, Association of Barangay Captains president Atty. Claire Lim, Sangguniang Kabataan president JC Cruz, special assistant to the governor and PDRRM chief Angelina Blanco, and acting PSWDO Fe Manarang.
