ORION, Bataan — Police on Wednesday reported the arrest of seven suspects engaged in illegal drug activities in a village here Tuesday afternoon.
Major Jeffrey Onde, Orion police chief, identified those arrested in the buy-bust operation in Barangay Bilolo as Mario Sarmiento, 59; Grace Sarmiento, 59; Edward Sarmiento, 35; Aries Angeles, 38; Jerome Rodriguez, 24; Jocilyn Gutierrez, 39 and Dennis Gonzales, 28; all of the said barangay.
Seized from the suspects were one large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, one medium heat-sealed plastic sachet, one small open transparent plastic sachet and two small open plastic sachet – all containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
Also confiscated were the P500 bill marked money, weighing scale, lighter, stainless scissor, glass tooter, multiple 2×3 plastic and cut aluminum foil.
A joint team from the Orion municipal police station, Bataan police provincial drug enforcement unit and other police units in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the operation.
Onde said they were preparing appropriate case against the suspects who are to be referred for inquest at the Bataan Prosecutor’s Office in Balanga City.
