ANGELES CITY (PIA) — About 600 elementary students at Amsic Integrated School in Angeles City are now benefiting from a newly constructed four-story, 12-classroom school building, addressing classroom shortage and supporting President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s commitment to improve access to quality education for all Filipinos.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the facility as classes resumed for the new school year, providing much-needed space for learners and teachers in this rapidly growing community.

The new building features modern classrooms, comfort rooms on each floor, a ramp accessible to persons with disabilities, and handwashing stations on both sides of the building, which contribute to a safe, inclusive, and health-conscious learning environment.
“This facility gives students the space and environment they need to thrive, while enabling teachers to deliver lessons more effectively,” DPWH Pampanga 3rd District Engineer Arnold Ocampo said.
The additional classrooms will help decongest existing learning spaces and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning, especially as enrollment continues to increase in the school.
The project forms part of the DPWH’s continuing efforts to strengthen public school infrastructure in fast-urbanizing areas, in line with the Marcos administration’s commitment to prioritize education and invest in future generations.
In his 2024 State of the Nation Address, President Marcos vowed to “build more resilient and inclusive school facilities” to ensure that every Filipino learner has access to quality education.
The newly completed classrooms in the school form part of the broader effort to support this goal. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
