IBA, Zambales – Police arrested six suspects and confiscated more than P169,000-worth of shabu in Subic town Friday evening.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said joint elements of the drug enforcement units of the Subic police and ZPPO and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zambales conducted a buy-bust operation on Pomera St., Purok 6A, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic which resulted in the arrest of Alih Bassar y Muhammad, 36, drug watch-listed and drug den maintainer of the said place; Erick Pangilinan y Navarro, 36, and Jopet Carpio y Dominguez, both dug watch listed of Barangay Calapacuan, Subic; Richard Dela Cruz y Shankin, 48, and Emerson Belegan y Pascual, 31, both residents of Barangay Del Pilar, Castillejos; and Jeric Legaspi y Pasion, 33, of Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City.
Seized from the suspects 38 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing some 26 grams amounting to P169,000, the P500-bill buy-bust money, two other P500 bills inside a pouch, assorted drug paraphernalia, and one empty plastic sachet containing traces of suspected shabu.
The suspects now face charges for violations of various sections of RA 9165.
