CLARK FREEPORT— At least six firms signed lease agreements with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in February, bringing more than P43 million in new investments here.
The CDC Marketing Department submitted the report on the new lease agreements to CDC Chairman and Officer-In-Charge Eduardo Oban, Jr.
In the same report, the CDC said that about 100 workers are expected to be hired by the six firms in the first year of their operations.
The investments signed last February were Pax Americana Food and Leisure Corporation with P30 million committed investments; Advantest Philippines, Inc. with P10 million investment.
Other newly signed investments were MStudy I-Communication Inc., JIMEI International Travel Company Inc., Smile Make Over Dental Clinic, Transmodal International, Inc., and Clark Dent Laboratory International Inc.
The CDC said Pax American will establish a restaurant complex and other support amenities; Adventest will put its sales technical service and support for Advantest group’s customer in the Philippines, including installation, training, warranty support, maintenance and repair adhoc support of semiconductor test systems, electrical measuring instruments and related computer and software and other services.
CDC disclosed that there are 36 new investments since January 2012, including 17 newly-leased agreements. They will pour in more than P2.6 billion investments in the next five years and are expected to generate 433 jobs.
