CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Police apprehended a total of 593 individuals in Central Luzon for violating the rules of the general community quarantine and modified GCQ.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia said they were arrested for violating curfew hours and disobedience in checkpoints among others.
From June 1-22, Pampanga has the most number of violators with 184, followed by Bulacan with 162, Tarlac-91, Nueva Ecija-79, Zambales-38, Angeles City-19, Bataan-11, Olongapo City-8 and Aurora-1.
Of the that 556 underwent inquest proceedings, 47 were fined and 161 cases were filed.
“Authorities will continue to be stricter with enforcement and will keep on arresting those who violate the GCQ and MGCQ guidelines,” Sermonia stressed.
Resolution No.46-A of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases placed Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales and Angeles City under MGCQ while Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac and Olongapo City remain under GCQ from June 16-30. — Carlo Lorenzo J. Datu/PIA-3
