CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 53 trainees who have been honing their skills in automotive servicing completed their 6-month training program with the provincial government in partnership with Foton Motors Philippines Inc.
Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda and Foton Motors Philippines Inc. CEO Rommel Sytin awarded the trainees their certificates of completion in a simple graduation ceremony held at the sangguniang panlalawigan hall on May 22.
“Malaking bagay itong mga natutunan niyong ito. Pakiusap namin ng Foton, sana gamitin ninyo yung mga natutunan ninyo para makapagtrabaho kayo para sa inyong pamilya. If may opportunities abroad, kunin ninyo. If wala, maraming companies ang pwedeng pasukan especially sa province,” the governor enthused.
The graduates acquired an Automotive Servicing NC II certificate under one of the vocational skills training programs offered by Provincial Manpower and Training Center (PMTC) under the Pineda administration.
The training includes skills in throttle body cleaning, brake cleaning, and preventive maintenance schedule of different vehicles, among others. Participants also underwent an on-the-job training program using Foton Motors Philippines Inc.’s world-class technology.
“I am thankful na binigyan ako ng opportunity ng provincial government to work with them in this project and share my expertise sa inyong mga gustong magtrabaho,” Sytin shared.
Apart from the certificate, each graduate also received P3,000 worth of training allowance.
“Ang laki ng pasasalamat ko po sa project pong ito ni Gov. Nung nalaman ko ito, sinabi ko, si Gov talaga, lahat ng klase ng tulong para sa mga kababayan natin ginawa na niya. Napakalaking tulong po nito sa amin, lalo na ako matanda na ako. Sabi ko nga pagka-graduate ko, makakaasa sila na ise-share ko sa ibang tao itong mga natutunan ko sa PMTC,” said Renato Manrang, one of the graduates.
